How To Write Short Stories

When I was in high school, I used to go to the library and read the magazines there. I was fascinated by the stories that were in them. I didn’t know what they were about, but I loved reading them. I would also read books of short stories. I would even write my own stories. I enjoyed it so much that I wanted to become a writer when I grew up.

I have always been interested in writing. When I was in college, I wrote a short story about an old man who lived alone in his house and was afraid of being alone. He had been a widower for years and had never remarried. One day he found a young woman who was trying to sell him some flowers. He bought them and she gave him a card with her phone number on it. The next day, he called her and they went out on a date. After a few dates, he asked her to marry him. She said yes. They got married and lived happily ever after. That was my first short story. It was written in college and published in a magazine.

After college, I went to work for the government and worked as a computer programmer. I had been a computer programmer before, so I knew how to program computers. I started doing programming for the Navy and then for the Air Force. This was back in the 1960’s and 1970’s. I did this until I retired from the military in the 1980’s. Then I started working for a local bank. I was still doing computer programming at night.

One day, a friend of mine who was a writer suggested that I write an article about how to build a computer. I thought that was a good idea. So I wrote the article. I sent it to a magazine and they published it. I didn’t think much about it. I just figured that if I wrote the article, someone else would publish it somewhere. I didn’t expect it to be published in a magazine. I was just glad that it was published.

Later, I decided to start writing short stories again. I wrote several short stories and submitted them to magazines. Some of them were accepted. I was very happy. I felt like a kid again. I felt like I was living in the world of make believe again. I felt like I could do anything. I could write whatever I wanted to write. I could dream up any kind of story that I wanted to write. I felt like I was free again.

I was very happy with my writing. I wrote several more short stories and sold them to magazines. I became very successful at writing short stories. I began to get calls from people asking me if I would write articles for them. I did. I wrote articles for magazines and for newspapers. I wrote articles about computers, about gardening, about sports, about politics, about health, about relationships, about the environment, about anything that came into my mind.

I continued writing short stories and selling them to magazines and newspapers. I was very busy writing articles for people. I would write one article a week. Sometimes I would write two or three articles a week. I was very busy. I had no time to write short stories. I was too busy writing articles. I had to stop writing short stories because I was so busy writing articles. I couldn’t find time to write short stories.

I still wanted to write short stories. I tried to find time to write short stories, but I couldn’t. I couldn’t find the time. I would write articles for people. I would call them up and say, “Hey, I’m busy writing an article right now. Can I write you an article?” They would say, “Sure.” I would write an article and send it to them. I would write one or two articles a week. I would write articles about anything. I would write articles about computers, about gardening and about sports. I would write articles about politics, about health, and about relationships. I would write articles about the environment, about anything. I would write about anything.

I would write articles about anything. But I didn’t write short stories anymore. I was too busy writing. I was too busy writing for people. I was too busy writing everything. I was too busy writing anything. I was too busy writing about everything. I was too busy doing everything. I was too busy being busy. I was too busy doing. I was too busy being. I was too busy doing anything. I was too busy doing all of those things. I was too busy doing every single thing. I was too busy doing things. I was too busy being too busy doing everything. I wasn’t doing anything. I wasn’t doing anything except being busy doing everything. I was busy doing all of those things.
